Board Bios
President: Nickole (Harris) Huffman

Nickole (Harris) Huffman serves as the President on the Board. She was in PC ’95. Nicki and her husband, Greg, live in Whiteland, Indiana with their two children, Josiah and Samara. Nicki is a stay-at-home, homeschooling Mom, and an Independent Sales Rep for Better Way Imports selling products hand-made by women overseas who have been freed from the Sex Trade Industry. She enjoys playing softball and volleyball, hiking, retreat planning, and hanging out with friends and family. She is active in mentoring relationships and is taking a sabbatical from Youth Ministry to write, teach, and mend. Nicki’s favorite Stewart memory involves the athletic victories in intramurals
Vice President: Alli Clark

Alli was a member of PC ’05 and was actively involved during her three years in the house. She served as Maintenance Chair, Computer Chair, Vice President, and President. She also served as the Vice President of Administration on the Purdue Cooperative Council. Alli is currently serving on the Stewart Board as the Vice President overseeing the Board committees, encouraging the Board members, and working on special projects. Alli graduated in May 2008 with a degree in nursing. She works as a pediatric nurse at Riley Hospital for Children and loves her kiddos! She lives in Westfield, IN. Alli attends New Brunswick Church of Christ, where she teaches Sunday School for 4th-6th grade students and enjoys leading the Jr. High Youth Group. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, reading, watching movies, her dogs, and cheering on her Boilermakers! She feels blessed to have lived at Stewart and has many treasured memories from her years there.

Kristi was a member of PC ’05. She lived at Stewart for 3.5 years and served as Membership Chair, Vice President, and Scholarship Chair during her time in the house. Kristi graduated in May 2009 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs and is currently teaching as a special needs preschool teacher at East Washington Elementary. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends, traveling, reading, crafts, and – of course – cheering on her beloved Boilermakers!
Treasurer: Erica (Rice) Havekost

Erica is currently serving in her first position at Stewart as the Treasurer for the Board. Erica pledged as a junior in PC ’07 and was blessed to live at Stewart for three semesters before she got married. Her husband Josh is a Fairway alumnus. Erica and her husband graduated in ’09 with engineering degrees and work for oil refineries in the Chicagoland area. They currently live in Tinley Park, IL. She is involved in leading a small group at her church and singing on the worship team. Erica loves traveling to visit family and friends, loves to tackle big home improvement projects, and loves dance in almost every form. She has a heart for the purity of young women and is excited to be involved with the women of Stewart once again!
Social Chair: Amanda Haney
After living at Stewart Cooperative for three years, Amanda Haney is eager to serve the house as Social Chair for the Stewart Alumni Board. Amanda was a member of PC ’07 and served as the meal planner/food purchaser and pledge educator while living in the house. During her four years at Purdue, Amanda also sang with the Purduettes where she served as the assistant manager and student chair for the 7th Annual Purdue Cancer Benefit. As a 2011 graduate, Amanda is currently teaching second grade in Brownsburg, Indiana. She is excited for the opportunities The Lord will present her with while serving the wonderful women of Stewart Cooperative.
Maintenance Chair: Dawn (Davis) Johnson

Dawn (Davis) Johnson is your current Maintenance Chair and was a member of PC ’98. She and her husband, Brian, live in beautiful Bedford, Indiana. Dawn and Brian have a son, Scott, and are expecting a baby in mid-February. Dawn works at a Vet and Lab Tech for the Animal Hospital of Bedford and Bedford Veterinary Lab. The couple also farms over 400 acres of corn and soybeans and raise beef cattle. Dawn is an active with her church’s worship ministry as well as joins with local musicians to perform worship music for various church and community activities.
Open Seat Position/Co-Maintenance Chair: Amanda (Waltz) Padgett
Amanda (Waltz) Padgett is from PC ‘05 where she sits on the Board in the Open Seat position and serves as the C0-Maintenance Chair. Amanda will soon continue on to obtain her degree in Elementary Education at Purdue. In 2008 she married her best friend, Craig, and 2 years later they welcomed a son, Jack. Her and her boys currently reside in Rossville, Indiana where she is a stay-at-home mom and an Independent Sales Consultant for The Pampered Chef. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking walks, bike riding, scrap booking, fishing, hunting and extreme couponing! She and her family attend Redeemer Lutheran Church where she enjoys being involved in children’s ministries and the women’s 6 at 6 nights. She loved her time at Stewart where she gained sisters that she’ll have beyond a lifetime
Alumni Chair: Audra (Roach) Lavery
Audra was a member of PC ’06 and lived in the house for four years where she served as Pledge Class President, Food Purchaser, Secretary, Alumni Chair and President. She also served as the President of the Purdue Cooperative Council. Audra is currently serving on the Stewart Board as the Alumni Relations Chair. Audra graduated in May 2010 with a degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. She and Kevin (Fairway PC’04) got married in August of 2010 and now reside on the South side of Indianapolis. Audra enjoys working part time at a Traffic Control company where she keeps track of the scheduling and times of all employees. She is actively involved at her church, Stones Crossing Church, where she is the MOPPET Coordinator for the MOPS ministry, Co-leader for the 9th and 10th grade girls’ small group and helps out with Sunday night worship for the high school students. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, reading, and traveling! Audra is blessed to be involved with Stewart again and treasures the friendships that come from Stewart.

Nutritional Chair: Liz (Felix) Yost

Liz (Felix) Yost is currently serving on the Alumni Board in the newly created position of Nutritional Chair. Liz joined Stewart as a part of PC ’98 and treasures her many memories of the four years she lived in the house. Liz enjoyed being very involved during her time at the house and served in many roles including President and Food Purchaser. Liz is EXTREMELY thankful for the many relationships that she has made through her time at Stewart that will truly last a lifetime! She is VERY excited about the opportunity to now be a part of the Alumni Board. Liz graduated from Purdue with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. She taught for 3 years until she was blessed with her first child and was fortunate to be able to begin her dream job as a stay at home mom. Liz and her husband Jamie have been married for 7 years and have two beautiful children: Isaac James is an affectionate five year old with a love for learning and Grace Elizabeth is a spunky, joy-filled 2 1/2 year old. Liz has discovered her passion for “being crafty” and greatly enjoys using card making, stamping, and scrapbooking as a creative outlet and a way to preserve precious memories! She enjoys spending quality time with friends and loved ones, curling up with a good book, ballroom dancing, traveling, and party planning. Liz has seen God give her new insights, passions, and a better understanding of God’s great love and grace in the past few years and she is excited to see how He will use her heart for families of children with special needs and life threatening illnesses to encourage others.
House Advisor: Sharon Winslow

Sharon has served as house advisor since 1996. She works in the International Students and Scholars office as an Asst Director processing the visa paperwork for Purdue’s international faculty and staff. Sharon lives off of Northwestern Ave. about 1 mile from Stewart with her guinea pig, Ambrose. She enjoys the out of doors, x-c skiing, biking, traveling, as well as quiet indoor activities like knitting and reading. Watching God work in the lives of so many young women in Stewart has been rewarding during the past 14 years. It is great to see God’s hand in the lives of so many Stewart alumni through Facebook. What a wonderful way to stay connected!
House Advisor: Nancy (Huliba) Kester

Nancy (Huliba) Kester is serving her second term as a co-house advisor. She first served from 1992 to 1996 alongside Bonnie Blake. She returned in 2005, serving alongside Sharon Winslow. A Purdue graduate, Nancy was previously Assistant Volleyball Coach at Purdue from 1978 to 1994. She now serves as Academic Advisor (Health & Kinesiology majors) and Associate Director in the Liberal Arts Advising office. In 1996 she married Dan who works at Caterpillar and has two step-sons, Curtis – 23, serving with Mission Year in Atlanta, GA, (www.missionyear.org) and David – 22, assistant manager at Monical’s Pizza in West Lafayette. Nancy enjoys biking, golfing, reading, music, and following Purdue Sports, the Colts, and other major sporting events.
House Advisor: Janet Aucoin
Janet Aucoin is just beginning her first term as a co-house advisor. She has been married to her husband, Brent, for over 17 years and they have two children, Joshua – 13 and Karis – 12, whom Janet is currently homeschooling. Brent is the college and seminary pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette. As part of their ministry, they oversee the college ministry at Faith and also Purdue Bible Fellowship. Janet and Brent were both impacted greatly in their Christian walks during their college years. Janet became a Christian while in school at the University of South Florida and Brent was first introduced to the possibility of discipleship and full time ministry while in school at Oklahoma State and Purdue. Before becoming a stay at home mom, Janet worked at General Electric, then was a director for Human Resources at Purdue and, finally, was a director for Human Resources at the University of Minnesota while Brent was a student in seminary. In addition to working with college students, Janet also oversees the women’s ministries at Faith. She is excited about having the opportunity to encourage more college girls in their faith and is looking forward to working with Sharon and Nancy as well.
