5th Annual Stewart Retreat Registration Form

As promised, here is the Generations Registration form for the 5th Annual Stewart Women’s Retreat. It will be on April 13th and 14th this year at Camp Allendale just outside of Trafalgar, IN.

The deadline for early registration (saves you $10!!) is March 23rd and forms will need to be completed and mailed to Amanda Haney at the address listed on the second page. Checks should be made out to Stewart Cooperative.

Don’t forget that the minimum of a $25.00 non-refundable deposit is required with registration. The early bird fee for the retreat is $45 if received before March 23, 2012. After, March 23, the retreat fee will be $55. No registrations will be accepted this year after March 30, 2012.

Join us for the 5th Annual Stewart Women’s Retreat on April 13th-14th to not only see old friends, but also make some new ones! You will have the opportunity to work closely with a small group of women, while being reminded of the support we have to offer each other as sisters in Christ.

Congratulations to Maggie (“Johnson”, PC’ 02) & her husband, Derek Johnson, on the birth of their son! Broderick “Brody” David Johnson was born September 23, 2011. He’s a big, healthy baby boy that is filling their lives with more joy than they could imagine.

Open Board Positions!

We currently have 2 Board positions open – Alumni Relations Chair & Marketing Chair. Here are the job descriptions:

Alumni Relations Chair

1. Attending and participating in all Board meetings and functions (4 Board meetings a year)
2. Planning and facilitating the Praying Alumni Lady (PAL) program –> April – November
3. Planning & facilitating the annual Scholarship dinner for the girls in the house –> January
4. Planning lunch for the girls of the house & alumni volunteers at the annual Landscaping Day –> April
5. Designing and mailing out the annual alumni newsletter –> August
6. Communicating with the alumni via the email group, Facebook, and the alumni blog –>continual

Marketing Chair

1. Attending and participating in all Board meetings and functions (4 Board meetings a year)
2. Creating merchandise to market to Stewart alumni and active members for special events (house anniversaries, retreats, etc.)
3. Facilitating the selling of Stewart merchandise to alumni and active members
4. Brainstorm fundraising ideas or projects

we have currently raised $2,581 for our charity:water well! this is great, but we would LOVE to see us meet our goal of $5,000!!!! we have 50 days left! we CAN do this, ladies! how can YOU contribute?

Baby Kerkhof!

Congratulations to Amanda (Meeks) Kerkhof and her husband, Kevin, on their birth of their 3rd child! Gideon Sawyer Kerkhof was born on October 27th weighing 9lbs 7oz and was 20 3/4" long! Amanda and Gideon are home and doing well! Gideon is welcomed home by big sister, Rowan, and big brother, Aimery. What a wonderful joy and blessing! Precious!

Erica (Rice) Havekost would appreciate your prayers for her family. Her grandmother died last week, her mom was in the hospital for an unexpected surgery, and her husband was in a car accident.

Please pray that God would be their strength and peace during this time, and that God would provide another car quickly. Thanks!
